This is an easy meal to prepare as it can be made in just a few minutes. It is total comfort food! The ingredients are probably right in your pantry! And who doesn't love a decadent chicken gravy over biscuits, topped with some delicious, tender turkey or chicken meat? This is a great solution for leftover chicken or turkey...

1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
2 1/2 c coarse chopped cooked turkey or chicken, deli chicken is fine
1 can(s) mushroom stems and pieces drained
1 Tbsp chopped pimientos
1 Tbsp parsley flakes
1/8 tsp dried marjoram leaves
1 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp pepper
salt to taste
1 c cream
1 c chicken broth
1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
4 tsp cooking sherry

Steps:

  • 1. Place prepared biscuits in the oven while you make the chicken mixture, or you can make your own from scratch.
  • 2. Make a roux. Melt equal parts of 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium high heat, add 2 tablespoons of flour, a cup of broth stir until thickened. Add chicken, heat through and turn heat to low and add the pimientos, mushrooms, parsley, marjoram and onion powder. Add the cream, can of soup and parmesan cheese. Stir gently, heat but don't boil. Add salt and pepper. Add the sherry, stir gently to combine. Split the biscuits and spoon mixture over them and serve. Enjoy!
  • 3. Cooks tip: You can add other ingredients to this, sometimes I add frozen peas I have steamed in a steamer bag. This can also be made in the microwave.

2 tablespoons butter
3 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 cup chopped cooked turkey
1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/3 cup of frozen carrots, thawed (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium low heat, cook butter until golden brown. Saute mushrooms until tender. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and cream of chicken soup slowly adding cream until smooth When smooth add in the turkey, peas, and carrots (optional). Reduce heat to low, and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over toasted bread, buns, pasta or rice.

My son kept telling me I need to cook turkey ala king so, I searched the web and found this one.. it's delicious. My other son who's a police officer came by after I just finished it and ate it.. he loved it so much before going to work that night he came by to take some with him.

1/2 c all purpose flour
1 can(s) chicken broth (14 1/2 oz.)
1 c milk
2 c cubed cooked turkey
1 c sliced booked carrots
1 c fresh green beans
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add broth and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • 2. Stir in the turkey, carrots, green beans, salt and pepper; heat trough.
  • 3. Serve with bisquits if you wish.

2 c water
1 tsp chicken soup base or boullion
2 can(s) cream of chicken soup
2 c frozen mixed veggies
1 Tbsp parsley flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. add water, bouillon & frozen vegetables to med. saucepan , bring to a simmer. add remaining ingredients , mix well , cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  • 2. this is great served over grands type biscuits . you could also serve over mashed potatoes.

2 cups cooked turkey or 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms or 1 cup canned mushroom
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups milk
1 -1 1/2 cup frozen peas
16 ounces sour cream

Steps:

  • In crock pot mix together all ingredients except sour cream.
  • Simmer on low at least 3 hours or you can let it simmer all day on low. About 1/2 hour before you serve add sour cream and mix well. When it come3s back up to desired temperature it is ready to serve.
  • Serve over biscuite, Mashed potatoes, or toast points.

4 teaspoons butter
1 small onion
1/4 cup flour
12 ounces chicken broth (or 2 cups homemade)
1 cup cream (or milk)
4 cups of chopped chicken (or whatever you have left over) or 4 cups turkey (or whatever you have left over)
12 ounces of frozen mixed vegetables
1 small can mushroom
2 teaspoons chop pickle pimientos
1/4 tablespoon paprika (optional)
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In large skillet over high heat melt butter, add onions (a little salt), fry until soften (2 min), add flour and stir continuously for around 5 min to get rid of any lumps (it will have small bubbles). Add Chicken broth stir until boiling, then add cream (or milk), and stir until boiling. Let cook until it thickens a little. (Or how think you like it). Add mushrooms and mix vegetables, and paprika. Let cook until boiling, keep stirring, and add chicken. Lower to a medium heat and heat until chicken is hot.
  • Serve over rice, wide noodles, or bread.
