Strawberry Bread image

A very good friend of mine gave me this recipe for strawberry bread years ago. I love it because I can use frozen strawberries when they are out of season! The bread is the best flavor and moist like you read about! I hope you all enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c oil
3 eggs
2 c frozen strawberries, thawed with juice
3 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1 c walnuts, or pecans chopped (optional)
1-2 tsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. Cream sugar, oil, eggs. Add flour, soda, salt, nuts, cinnamon, adding strawberries with the juice last.
  • 2. Pour into greased bread pans.
  • 3. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • 4. Let cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Let cool another 15 minutes. Wrap in tin foil and let cool completly.
  • 5. This bread also freezes beautifully. So you can eat one and freeze the other, or give it away so you can make more!
