Yield 12 Puddings

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 box of dates, cut fine
1 tsp. soda
1 cup boiling water
Mix the above and let stand while preparing the following:
PUDDING:
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup nuts
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
Mix together and bake in muffin tins in moderate oven at 350 degrees
SAUCE:
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoon corn starch

Steps:

Pudding Mix together and bake in muffin tins in moderate oven at 350 degrees Serve with Sauce poured over. Sauce: Cook until thickened: add 1 tsp vanilla. Serve over warm pudding.
