2 cups no sugar added brewed tea
6 cups water
6 ounces Bourbon
1 1/4 cups sugar

1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade, thawed
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice, thawed
3/4 cup lemon juice
2 1/2 cups bourbon
2 quarts plus 1 cup lemon-lime carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients; mix well. Freeze 8 hours. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. To serve, stir until mixture is slushy and well-mixed.

My kids always ask that I make a blender full of "Sour Slush" (minus the whiskey) for them before I make the adult version.

4 cups ice cubes
1 cup orange juice
6 ounces pineapple juice
1/2 cup whiskey
2 tablespoons sugar (superfine, if possible)
2 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice
maraschino cherry (optional, for garnish)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except the cherries in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth. (You may need to adjust the ice depending on your preference for consistency.)
  • Serve in tumblers with straws. Garnish with maraschino cherries.

  • 2. TO DRINK: Fill a glass 3/4 full with slush mix. Finish filling glass with Ginger Ale.
