6 pork chops
4 medium potatoes
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Salt and pepper pork chops and brown in skillet with small amount of shortening or vegetable oil.
  • Place slices potatoes in 1 and 1/2 quart baking dish.
  • Alternate layers of pork chops,onion,and potatoes.
  • Pour soup over top.
  • Cover with lid.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender.

My grandma's recipe - pork chops simmered in a spicy tomato sauce with green beans and mushrooms. Wonderfully delicious, uses only one pan, and is easy to make. Enjoy!

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 lean boneless pork chops
1 ½ teaspoons rosemary
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup water
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 bay leaf
2 (11.5 ounce) cans tomato juice
1 ½ tablespoons hot pepper sauce
salt and pepper to taste
2 (14.5 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
1 (4 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and brown the pork chops on both sides. Season with rosemary and garlic powder. In a bowl, mix the water, vinegar, sugar, and bay leaf. Pour over the pork chops. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 10 minutes.
  • Pour the tomato juice into the skillet, and mix in the hot pepper sauce. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Cover, and continue cooking pork 35 minutes, to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  • Remove the bay leaf from the skillet. Stir the green beans and mushrooms into the tomato juice mixture, and cook until heated through. Top pork chops with green beans and mushrooms, and cover with the tomato juice mixture to serve.

This is the greatest recipe I was ever given. It is a family favorite for us. Simple yet delicious pork chops and scalloped potatoes baked with chicken broth and a hint of paprika.

3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 ½ teaspoons salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
6 pork chops
6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1 dash paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In sauce pan melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add salt, pepper and flour. Pour in the chicken broth, cook and stir until mixture boils. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In skillet brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon butter. Grease a cooking dish with the remaining tablespoon butter and layer potatoes. Pour mixture over potatoes and place browned chops on top. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  • Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.

1 tablespoon butter
4 pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick and 7 ounces each)
3 medium red potatoes, cut into small wedges
3 medium carrots, cut into 1/2-inch slices, or 2 cups fresh baby carrots
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/2 cup water
Optional: Cracked black pepper and chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides; remove from pan, reserving drippings., In same pan, saute vegetables in drippings until lightly browned. Whisk together soup and water; stir into vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, just until vegetables are tender, 15-20 minutes. , Add chops; cook, covered, until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 8-10 minutes. 1 1/2 lbs pork chops
1 medium onion, coarse chopped
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons oil
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup (don't substitute)
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 head cabbage, sliced
3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced

Steps:

  • Brown pork chops, onions, and seasonings in oil.
  • Take chops out of pan and set aside.
  • Add celery soup and milk to the same pan with the onions and simmer until heated through.
  • Put one half of the sliced potatoes in a sprayed casserole pan.
  • Place one half of the cabbage over potatoes.
  • Pour one half of soup mixture over that.
  • Repeat.
  • Place browned pork chops on top.
  • Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.

4-6 pork chops
garlic salt and black pepper for seasoning
1/4 c canola oil
3 medium potatoes, russets, scrubbed and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
1 medium onion, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
1 can(s) (10.75 oz) cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 can(s) (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 c sour cream
1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  • 2. Season the pork chops with garlic salt and black pepper.
  • 3. In a large skillet, heat the oil until hot and brown the pork chops lightly on both sides. Set aside.
  • 4. In a large bowl, combine the soup, sour cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • 5. Add the sliced potatoes and onions. Stir well to coat.
  • 6. Spread the contents of the bowl into a 9x13 inch baking dish which has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 7. Place the pork chops on top of the potato mixture. Cover with foil and cook for @ 40 minutes. Remove the foil and continue cooking for 10-15 more minutes until the pork chops and potatoes are done.

4 pork boneless loin or rib chops, about 3/4 inch thick (about 1 1/4 pounds)
1/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups frozen cut green beans (from 1-pound bag), thawed
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons chopped pimientos
1 can (2.8 ounces) French-fried onions

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°. Spray square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches, with cooking spray. Trim fat from pork if necessary. Sprinkle both sides of pork with salt and pepper.
  • Spray 10-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Cook pork in skillet about 10 minutes, turning once, until brown. Place in baking dish.
  • Mix remaining ingredients except onions in medium bowl. Spread over pork chops.
  • Bake uncovered about 50 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Sprinkle onions over casserole. Bake uncovered 5 minutes.
