You can vary this recipe. This one is for chocolate cake mix with chocolate chips. You can use peanut butter chips or raspberry chips and nuts instead. You can also add 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Or you can use another flavor cake mix and omit the chocolate chips. The cake mix, butter and egg mixture is the same for all.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, stir together the cake mix, butter and eggs until smooth and well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add cake mix; beat on low speed until blended. Stir in chocolate and peanut butter chips. , Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool 3 minutes before removing to wire racks. Store in an airtight container.

- Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Spray bottom and sides of 15x10x1-inch pan with baking spray with flour.
- In large bowl, beat cake mix, sour cream, water, cocoa, butter and eggs with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.

BUTTER RECIPE DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX COOKIES
This recipe called for a German Chocolate cake mix. I usually have all kinds of cake mixes, but I am almost out. Just changed up the cake mix and used a Butter Recipe Dark Chocolate Cake mix. Very good!!

- Heat oven to 350F. In large bowl combine all ingredients; blend well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonful 2 inches apart on lightly sprayed cookie sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets & let cool.
