The original recipe came from Paula Deen. I have revised it a little to make it a bit healthier.

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 tsp kernel season's gourmet popcorn seasoning salt
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
2 c water
1 tsp granulated bouillon
16 oz lima beans, frozen
6 slice turkey bacon, cut into tiny pieces
16 oz sweet corn, frozen
2 stick butter buds powdered mix
1/2 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium saucepan, add the popcorn seasoning, seasoned salt, and bouillon to 2 cups of water. Add the lima beans, and bring to boil. Reduce the heat, cover and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes or until the lima beans are tender and some of the water has been absorbed.
  • 2. In a medium skillet, fry the bacon until very crisp.
  • 3. Drain off all except 1 T. of grease. (There is very little grease with turkey bacon). Add the corn to the skillet with the bacon pieces and cook over medium low heat for about 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, add the butter beans to the skillet. Add a little of the butter bean liquid to create a sauce. Add the Butter Buds and pepper. Stir well and serve.
