Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoons fat
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 pound ground beef
2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
1 1-pound can kidney beans
1 teaspoon salt
1 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Brown onion, green pepper and ground beef in fat. Add tomato sauce; cook on low heat 5 minutes. Add undrained kidney beans and salt. Heat through. Stir in chili powder to taste. Ladle into bowls; top with cheese. Nice served over orzo.
