Sour Cream Cornbread image

This is a tasty cornbread.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 cup flour, white
3/4 cup cornmeal
3 tbsp sugar, white
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp salt
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup sour cream, thick
1/4 cup milk
soft butter & jam (for serving)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400ยบ F
  • 2. Grease a 9x5-inch bread pan with butter and set aside until needed.
  • 3. Add flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  • 4. Now add the egg, sour cream, milk and butter mixing until just combined.
  • 5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake 30 - 35 minutes.
  • 6. Cool on wire rack.
  • 7. Enjoy, sliced with butter and or jam.
