Smokey Chicken Wings image

This is a marinade that we love on our chicken wings. I've tweaked it over the years. You can also use this marinade on any chicken, not just wings and it's also good on pork. Enjoy!!

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 lb chicken wings
12 oz soy sauce
1/2 c liquid smoke flavoring
1/4 c vegetable oil
1/4 c worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp louisiana hot sauce
1 Tbsp tabasco sauce
2 tsp finely minced garlic
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients, except wings, in a large plastic container that has a tight lid. Add wings (not frozen!!!) and toss around in the container so all the wings get covered with marinade and marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Cook on the grill on indirect heat (not on hot coals) for approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours. If you want to use some of the marinade for basting, just put some aside BEFORE you add the chicken. Discard marinade that has been used on the chicken.
