Simple & Tasty Fettuccine Alfredo image

I first discovered this recipe in 1988 and have been enjoying it ever since!

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 ounce(s) fettuccine pasta
1 stick(s) butter
1 cup(s) heavy cream
5 ounce(s) parmesan cheese, grated (more if desired)
- salt (to taste)
- white pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Prepare fettuccine according to package directions.
  • In a small sauce pan slowly warm heavy cream and butter until butter is melted.
  • Once butter has melted gradually stir in the cheese, stirring constantly. Be careful not to add too much cheese at once to prevent clumping.
  • Stir salt and pepper into sauce, and toss with cooked pasta. Serve hot.
