This is one of my favorite recipe. It is easy to prepare & cook. This recipe will only take you about 30 minutes or more to steam depending on the thickness of your dumpling wrappers.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/4 kilograms kilo ground pork
1 can(s) maling (chinese luncheon meat)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup(s) turnips (finely chopped)
1 medium carrots, chopped
2 large calamansi or lemon
3 medium onions, chopped
1 package(s) wanton dumpling wrapper
2 tablespoon(s) black pepper, ground
1 pinch(es) salt, to taste
1 teaspoon(s) sugar

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients. Prepare about 30 pcs of small wanton wrapper(can be both in some local grocers) and fill in about 1 tablespoon of the above mixture. Fold and seal each of them. Put them in a steamer brushed with some cooking oil and steam for about 30 to 45 minutes. For the dip you can prepare and combine the following ingredients: soy sauce, calamansi (or lemon extract) and sesame oil as you desired. An alternative dip could be the so-called chili paste. To prepare the chili paste add the following ingredients in a small bowl: Chopped chilies (labuyo or jalapeno/habanero can do) and mashed garlic. Simmer the mixture for about 20 minutes or until the liquid evaporates, add sesame oil, simmer again and stir well until blended. Happy cooking and eating!
