Pear Honey image

Maybe double the batch. This goes fast. Put it on ice cream, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, english muffins.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/2 peck pears peeled
2 1/2 cup(s) sugar
16 ounce(s) can crushed pineapple

Steps:

  • Peel the pears and remove the seeds. Place in food processor and process until well smashed. Should have around 4 cups pears. Place the pears in a large pot. Add the sugar.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce the heat and simmer 30 minutes. Add the pineapple and bring to a boil again. Reduce the heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Put it in sterilized jars and waterbath process for 15 minutes.
