Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler image

1/2 cup cold butter, divided
4-1/2 lb. fresh peaches, peeled, sliced
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 cup packed brown sugar, divided
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1-1/2 cups (about 1/2 of 8-oz. tub) thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Cut 2 Tbsp. butter into small pieces; place in large bowl. Add peaches, dry pudding mix, nutmeg and 1/4 cup sugar; mix lightly. Spoon into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake 20 min. Meanwhile, use pulsing action of food processor to process flour, baking powder and remaining sugar until blended. Cut remaining butter into chunks. Add to ingredients in food processor; pulse just until blended and crumbly. Add sour cream; process until blended.
  • Spoon sour cream mixture over hot peach mixture; spread to evenly cover peach mixture. Bake 30 to 35 min. or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving topped with COOL WHIP.
