Steps:
- 1. In a small sauce pan heat milk up , just to the point of boiling but DON'T BOIL.
- 2. Beat the eggs in the top of a double boiler pan. To the beaten egg yolks , beat in the sugar , salt , cornstarch and butter and scalded milk.
- 3. Cook over boiling water in a double broiler pan until thick ; stirring constantly ; remove from the heat and add the vanilla and sliced banana's.
- 4. Pour into cookie crumb crust and chill.
