GRILLED SCALLOPS WITH HOISIN ORANGE SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

Sauce:
4 oz. hoisin sauce
3 TBP orange juice
2 tsp unseasoned rice vinegar
2 garlic cloves minced
1 scant tsp chile garlic sauce
Scallops
1 ½ tsp ground coriander
1 TBSP sesame oil
2 garlic pressed
1 TBSP minced ginger
8 large sea scallops

Steps:

  • Sauce: Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Can be made one week ahead. Cover and chill. Probably can freeze. Bring to room temperature before serving. Scallops: Combine all ingredients except scallops in a bowl. Mix in scallops and let stand at 30 minutes or chill up to 1 hour. Place scallops on skewers and grill a few minutes on each side depending on size. Remove from grill and lightly drizzle sauce on the scallops. Serve and serve remaining sauce on the side. Serves 2
