Catfish, Smothered and Oven Fried image

This was a fair swap. We swapped some chicken livers with a local fisherman in trade for these delicious catfish. They turned out simply delicious

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 medium catfish filets
1/2 cup(s) parmigiano-reggiano, grated
1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/4 cup(s) pecans, in pieces
1/4 cup(s) butter, softened
3 - green onions, chopped
1/2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a baking pan with cooking oil
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, except catfish. Mix well.
  • Place catfish on greased baking pan; spread mayonnaise mixture over top of fish. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until fish flakes with a fork.
