This Callie's Cheese & Chive Bicuits Copycat Recipe is for those of us who (like Oprah) have these on our list of favorite things and want to make them in our own kitchens.

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups White Lily self rising flour (plus more for dusting)
1 stick (8 TB) butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup chive flavored cream cheese (comes in small tub)
1 cup sharp cheddar, grated
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 TB melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees with rack in center of oven.
  • Place flour in large, wide bowl.
  • Place butter and cream cheese in flour; cut in with fork or hands until mixture resembles cottage cheese.
  • Make a well in center; pour in buttermilk.
  • Mix with spatula just until dough forms (don't overwork dough).
  • Sprinkle flour on countertop; roll dough until 1/2" thick.
  • Cut with 2" round biscuit cutter; dust with flour as needed to keep dough workable.
  • Place biscuits into shallow pan or cast iron skillet, sides touching.
  • Brush tops of biscuits with melted butter.
  • Place in oven; immediately reduce heat to 450 degrees.
  • Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden on top.
