Cabbage Casserole, My way image

My mother in law makes several casseroles with cracker topping, and they go like crazy whenever she does...Since I am a cabbage crazed person, and adding cheese never hurts, this one is one I plan to make at a future family get together!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 head cabbage, sliced
1 c mayo
2 large onions, sliced (or 1 if you prefer, i love onion)
1/2 stick butter
TOPPING
1 sleeve ritz or saltine crackers, crushed up
1 stick melted butter
1 c shredded cheddar (or make homemade cheese sauce with velveeta, which i prefer)

Steps:

  • 1. Slice up cabbage and onion, layer in casserole (spray with PAM 1st). Mix soup, mayo and butter, spread over cabbage. Topping, combine and spread over cabbage. Bake at 350 degrees 45-50 min.
