1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 peaches, peeled, cut into 1/2-inch slices (6 cups)
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
Sweetened whipped cream, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. In 4-quart saucepan, mix 1/3 cup sugar, the cornstarch and cinnamon. Stir in peaches, water and lemon juice. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 8- or 9-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish.
  • In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon of the sugar, the milk and melted butter until soft dough forms.
  • Drop dough by 6 tablespoonfuls onto hot peach mixture. Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon sugar over dough.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream.

1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
12 medium peaches, peeled and sliced (about 8 cups)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
TOPPING:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons cold butter
3/4 cup buttermilk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and cardamom. Add peaches and lemon juice; toss to combine. Transfer to an 11x7-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray., In a small bowl, whisk the first six topping ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk; stir just until moistened. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls over peach mixture., Bake, uncovered, 30-35 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm.

2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
1/4 cup orange marmalade
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
2 teaspoons butter
1/2 cup biscuit/baking mix
Dash ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons milk
Vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in water, marmalade and orange juice concentrate. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until thickened. Stir in the butter until melted. Pour into a greased 1-qt. baking dish. , In a bowl, combine biscuit mix and nutmeg; stir in milk just until moistened. Drop by tablespoonfuls over orange mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm over ice cream.
