2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, finely diced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 rib celery, thinly sliced
1 (14 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
3 cups chicken broth, or more to taste
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
1 ½ pounds cod, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
salt and pepper to taste
1 dash red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a soup pot over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and celery and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and broth and bring to a simmer, about 5 minutes. Cook 15 to 20 minutes. Add cod, parsley, and red pepper flakes and simmer until fish flakes easily with a fork, 8 to 10 minutes more. Season with salt and black pepper.

1 lb dried salt cod
2 lb potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4 -inch dice
2 tsp white wine
olive oil
2 garlic cloves
parsley
salt, pepper

Steps:

  • Soak the cod in cold water to cover in refrigerator for at least 24 hours (up to 3 days). Change the water 5 times to remove the salt. Drain and pat the cod pieces dry with a towel. Heat oil in a deep skillet, fry cod and garlic. Add water and wine. Bring to boil. Add potatoes, salt and pepper and cook for 40 minutes. Add parsley.

0.7 l cold water
1 kg vegies (mix some carrots, cabbage, beans, peas, etc.)
300 g white fish filet
3 tea spoons olive oil
salt
pepper
parsley

Steps:

  • Put veggies, 1 tea spoon olive oil and a bit salt and a bit pepper into cold water. boil up. Cook on small flame (low heat) until 5 minutes before done (should stay very al dente). Add fish and cook for 5 more minutes. Take away from flame. Add more salt and pepper to match your taste. Add 2 tea spoons of olive oil and parsley.

500 g white fish fillets
2 pints water
1 onion, chopped
parsley
3 peeled chopped potatoes
1/2 pint fish stock
1 tablespoon oil
250 g very thin noodles
salt and pepper
1 lemon, zest of, grated

Steps:

  • Boil fish, drain, but keep the water (removing all bones on the fish and the water).
  • keep water and set aside.
  • set the fish aside.
  • boil all the other ingredients, except lemon.
  • when soft, add the water from the fish. add the lemon.
  • place the fish in the soup plate, and pour over all the ingredients and water.
