These tasty, juicy burgers make a change from normal beef patties.

6 slices bacon, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 shallots, minced
2 pounds ground venison
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten to mix
6 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crispy. Pour bacon and grease into a heatproof bowl and allow to cool. Heat olive oil in skillet then add garlic and shallots. Cook and stir until softened, about 3 minutes; then add to bacon.
  • Once cool, mix in venison, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, pepper, and egg until evenly combined. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
  • Shape the mixture into 6 patties and grill to desired doneness. Serve on toasted hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.

1 pound peppercorn bacon, diced
5 pounds ground venison
2 cups bread crumbs
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup evaporated milk
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Place bacon in a stainless steel bowl; add venison, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, milk, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Mix venison mixture using your hands and form into 5-ounce balls. Press balls with the back of a side dish to form patties.
  • Grill patties on the preheated grill until desired doneness is reached, about 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

1 lb Ground Venison
1/2 lb Ground Pork
Salt & Pepper to taste
1/2 medium Onion, chopped
1/4 cup Bread Crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 Egg (beaten)
4 Thick slices Cheddar Cheese
4 Slices of Bacon
4 Hamburger Buns (not the cheap ones)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crispy. Remove bacon from pan, cut in half, and set aside. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine venison, pork, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, chopped onion, bread crumbs, minced garlic and egg, until evenly combined. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. 3. Preheat an outdoor grill at medium-high heat. 4. Remove the meat from the fridge and shape the mixture into 4 - 1/2lb patties. Brush burgers with olive oil (be careful because they will flame up) and grill about 4 minutes per side (time will very upon preference). Top each burger with a slice of cheddar cheese and two bacon strips. Serve Venison burgers on rolls with your choice of condiments.

Turn your ground venison into a delicious burger-inspired pasta skillet with this quick and easy dinner.

3 strips thick-cut bacon, chopped
1 lb ground venison
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
2 cups milk
1 cup hot water
1 box Hamburger Helper™ cheeseburger macaroni
Chopped pickles, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped red onion, as desired

Steps:

  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp. Using slotted spoon, transfer to small bowl. Increase heat to medium-high. Add venison to bacon drippings in skillet. Cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until venison is thoroughly cooked; do not drain.
  • Stir in ketchup and mustard. Stir in milk, hot water, and uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper™ box). Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 11 to 13 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of liquid is absorbed. Top with bacon. Serve with remaining ingredients.
