This is a very easy and delicious recipe That I devised. Why? ..Because I love potatoes, rutabagas, cheese, and potato chips. All of the above blend together for a great oven baked potato dish. Steps:
- wash and peel potatoes.
- Then dice, and set in cold water.
- wash peel and chop rutabaga. Set in water with potatoes.
- Melt butter. Chop onions. Crush potato chips. Spray cooking dish with oil. Pre-heat oven to 350F.
- In a large mixing bowl, add drained potatoes, drained rutabaga, chopped onion, pepper and melted butter. MIX well.
- Put all in baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 crushed potato chips. Put in oven, uncovered and bake for about 40-45 minutes, at 350 F. Until potatoes are soft, and the baking dish has golden edges around the inside of baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheese and the other 1/2 of potato chips over the top. Return to oven till the cheese melts. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve and enjoy.

- Preheat the oven to 375˚. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, then add the onion. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the garlic. Cook until the onion are slightly softened, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar, hash brown potatoes and the onion mixture. Transfer to a greased three-quart casserole dish. Cover the casserole and bake for 45 minutes.

- Heat oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. Boil the potatoes for 3 mins to soften a little, then drain. When cool enough to handle, slice into 5mm pieces. Cook the onion in the butter in a pan until softened, about 5 mins, then pour over the wine, milk and cream and heat through. Place the potato slices into a large bowl, pour over the cream mixture, sage leaves and half the cheese. Carefully stir until the potato slices are coated.
