ORANGE JULIUS COOKIES

Growing up, there was nothing better on a hot day than an Orange Julius. I was inspired by those flavors to make these cookies.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 1/4 c all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
2 stick softened butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 tsp grated orange zest
12 oz white chocolate morsels (2 cups)

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare your cookie sheets by spraying them with Pam. You can also use a parchment-lined cookie sheet if you prefer.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir well and set aside. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  • 3. Add the beaten egg to the bowl with the butter and the sugars. Stir it all up. Them stir in the grated orange zest. Stir in the flour, salt, and baking soda mixture and mix well.
  • 4. Stir in the white chocolate chips. Driop by teaspoonfuls on a prepared cookie sheet, 12 cookeis to a standard-size sheet. Flatten the cookeis in a crisscross pattern with a fork, the way you'd do for peanut butter cookies.
  • 5. Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 10 t o 12 minutes. Leave the cookies on the cookie sheet for a minute or two,a dnthen remove them to a wire rack to cool completely.

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 beaten egg
3 tsp grated orange zest
2 cups white chocolate morsels

Steps:
