My mother-in-law used to make this every summer and I could not get enough of it.

Steps:
- Combine peas, onion, hard-cooked eggs, and mayonnaise in a large bowl. Stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Chill for one hour before serving.

Steps:
- In a mixing bowl, add the first 4 ingredients; stir to combine.
- In a smaller bowl, add the mayonnaise and sour cream; stir to blend.
- Spoon the mayo mixture over the pea mixture; gently stir to coat.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- This tastes better to me chilled so I let it refrigerate 4-6 hours before serving.

I got this recipe from a local grocer's deli as I loved theirs so much and asked how it was made. It is great served with sandwiches or a side with dinner. A family favorite! ENJOY!

Steps:
- 1. Blend together peas, water chestnuts, green onions, and cheese. In a separate bowl, blend mayonnaise and sour cream; spoon over pea mixture and gently stir to coat. You can also add celery (1 cup) and salt and pepper to taste. It should be refrigerated for a few hours before serving.
