Number Of Ingredients 7

2 medium ripe bananas
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup fresh or frozen unsweetened sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons honey
5 ice cubes
Whipped topping, chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the first five ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Gradually add ice, blending until slushy. Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with whipped topping, chocolate syrup and cherries. Serve immediately.

2 cups milk
2 medium ripe bananas
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Stir if necessary. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.

500ml unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp almond butter
6 prunes
1 tsp cinnamon
1 small ripe banana

Steps:

  • In a blender, whizz the almond milk with the almond butter, prunes, cinnamon and banana.
  • Transfer to 2 bottles and chill until ready to drink, or pack for lunch on the go. The smoothies will keep in the fridge for 2 days.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup dried apricot, chopped
1/2 cup warm water
1 large banana
6 strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 quart fresh orange juice
mint sprig, for garnish

Steps:

  • Soak apricots in the warm water until softened, about 20 minutes. Drain and transfer to a blender or food processor.
  • Add banana, strawberries, sugar and vanilla and pulse until chopped.
  • Add half of the orange juice and puree.
  • Pour into a pitcher and stir in the remaining orange juice.
  • Refrigerate until very cold, about 2-3 hours.
  • Serve in small glasses garnished with mint.
