These tender, mouthwatering chops taste a bit like sweet-and-sour pork but require little attention or time. I prepare them year-round, whenever I'm on a tight schedule but still want something scrumptious.-Sally Jones, Lancaster, New Hampshire

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
4 boneless pork loin chops (5 ounces each)
2 medium onions, chopped
Hot cooked noodles and sliced green onions, optional

Steps:

  • Mix first 4 ingredients. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat; brown pork chops on both sides. Remove from pan., In same pan, saute onions in remaining oil over medium heat until tender. Add juice mixture; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Add pork chops; cook, covered, until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 2-3 minutes. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. If desired, serve over noodles and top with green onions.

A wonderfully moist pork roast that is so teander it will just fall apart around cooking. Great for the whole family...even the husband. :)

3 lbs pork roast or 2 large butterflied pork chops
2 packages Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2/3 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 chicken bouillon cubes

Steps:

  • Place pork into a crock pot and cover with water or chicken stock/broth (if you use stock/broth do not add chicken boulions).
  • Turn crock pot onto low.
  • Add soup mix, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and boulins.
  • Mix spices as well as you can into the water.
  • Cover and let cook for atleast 7-8 hours.
  • A wonderful side with this is white or brown rice that has been cooked in the broth from the crock pot instead of water.
  • Believe me, you will love it.

1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup hot water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 425°. Arrange chops in broiler pan without the rack. Brush both sides of chops with Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix combined with Olive Oil. 2. Bake chops 25 minutes or until done. 3. Remove chops to serving platter. Add hot water to pan and stir, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan. Serve sauce over chops. This recipe came out of necessity! I love to cook but hate to grocery shop, and one day I found myself with nothing but some pork chops, canned black beans and canned tomatoes. This is the dish I came up with, and my husband loved it.-Vicki L. Blaine, Plymouth, Michigan

1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, drained
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
3/4 cup chicken broth
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 bone-in pork loin chops(1/2 inch thick and 6 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Hot cooked rice
2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute onion in 1 tablespoon oil for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in the tomatoes, beans, broth, chili powder, oregano, cumin and pepper flakes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 4-5 minutes or until heated through. , Meanwhile, in another skillet, brown pork chops on both sides in remaining oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour tomato mixture over chops. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Using a slotted spoon, serve over rice. Sprinkle with cilantro if desired. Freeze option: Cool pork chop mixture. Freeze in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through slowly in a covered skillet until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 165°, stirring occasionally and adding a little broth or water if necessary. Serve as directed.
