Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 11

2/3 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar (add more if you have a sweet tooth)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
8 slices of thick bread
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
unsalted butter (for frying)
Berries
Maple Syrup, Honey

Steps:

  • Put cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat together until you have a thinner consistency, forming a cream cheese spread.
  • Spread cream cheese filling on one side of the thick bread. Form a cream cheese sandwich by placing another piece of thick bread on top of the bread spread with cream cheese.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, granulated sugar, and cinnamon together. Dip the sandwiches in the egg mixture, just like how you would do for a conventional French toast.
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan. Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
  • Top with berries, honey, or maple syrup.
