1 cup peeled and cubed horseradish root
¾ cup white vinegar
2 teaspoons white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In an electric food processor or blender, process horseradish root, vinegar, sugar and salt. Carefully remove the cover of the processor or blender, keeping your face away from the container. Cover and store the horseradish in the refrigerator.

1 (5-inch) piece horseradish root (use about 4 big tablespoons, grated)
1 cup good mayonnaise
1/4 lemon, juice of
1 dash hot sauce (recommended -- Tabasco)
1 pinch sea salt
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

Steps:

  • Use a vegetable peeler or a knife to peel the surface skin off of the horseradish.
  • Using a microplane grater, grate up about 4 hefty tablespoons of the stuff.
  • Add to your mayonnaise and add the lemon juice, hot sauce, salt and prepared horseradish.
  • Cover, and let rest in the refrigerator until ready to use.

1 to 2 tablespoons prepared white horseradish
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup minced parsley

Steps:

  • In a blender combine the garlic, horseradish, olive oil, and vinegar and process until smooth. Transfer to a mixing bowl and add mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt, fold in the parsley and serve with beef.

1 tablespoon white-wine vinegar
Salt to taste, if desired
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 cup corn, peanut or vegetable oil
3 tablespoons horseradish, preferably freshly grated

  • Put the egg yolk, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Start beating briskly with a wire whisk and gradually add the oil until all of it is added.
