Ghoulishly Good Halloween Snack Mix image

A sweet and salty snack mix that is perfect for Halloween!

6 cups cone-shaped corn snacks (such as Bugles®)
4 cups cheese-flavored crackers (such as Cheez-It®)
4 cups popped popcorn
2 cups pretzel sticks
1 ¼ cups brown sugar
¾ cup corn syrup
¾ cup butter
2 ¼ teaspoons coarse salt
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
½ ounce vanilla-flavored candy coating
1 (.88 ounce) package candy eyeballs
1 (11 ounce) package candy corn
1 (12 ounce) package candy-coated peanut butter pieces (such as Reese's Pieces®)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 255 degrees F (124 degrees C).
  • Combine corn snacks, cheese crackers, popcorn, and pretzel sticks in a large roasting pan.
  • Bring brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and baking soda. Pour the syrup over the snack mixture in the roasting pan; stir to coat.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring to coat every 15 minutes.
  • Line a countertop with waxed paper. Spread snack mix into a single layer on top.
  • Place candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir until smooth and place a dot of the melted candy on the back of a candy eyeball; attach to a corn snack. Repeat with remaining eyeballs.
  • Transfer snack mix to a large bowl. Stir in candy corn and peanut butter candy pieces.

2 cups mini pretzels
1 cup corn puff cereal
1 cup Os cereal
3/4 cup M&Ms
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup pepitas
1/2 cup raisins
Anything else you want!

  • Pour all ingredients into a large bowl and toss with your clean hands or a large wooden spoon. Done! I like to serve it in individual cups.

This is a cinnamon treat that your party cannot go without. You can double the batch because it will not last long. This is a semi-healthy treat that should be at every Halloween party. It is savory, sweet, crunchy and chewy. ENJOY

2 c pretzel sticks
1/2 c sunflower seeds
8 c popped popcorn
1 c candy corn
20 hershey kisses (unwrapped)
1 c walnuts
1 c candy pumpkins
2 c cinnamon chex mix
6 Tbsp butter
3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 c chocolate covered peanuts or raisins

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In the microwave melt the butter mixed with the pumpkin pie spice. In a large bowl mix the pretzel sticks, walnuts and the sunflower seeds. Pour half of the butter over the mixture. After combining well spread on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes
  • 2. In another bowl mix together the popcorn and the chex mix and pour the remain butter over that mixing well.
  • 3. Mix the popcorn and the pretzels mixture together and bake for 15 more minutes.
  • 4. Let cool and add candy corn candy, pumpkins, chocolate covered peanuts or raisins and hershey kisses, and serve to all those Halloweeners.
