Just because you're all grown up doesn't mean you don't enjoy a great PB&J sandwich. Our adult version features sliced strawberries and chopped peanuts for added sweetness and crunch.

1/2 tablespoon butter, softened
2 slices sandwich bread
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons strawberry jam
2 large strawberries, sliced
1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat panini press.
  • Spread butter on 1 side of bread slices. Turn over. Spread peanut butter on other side of 1 slice of bread and jam on other slice of bread.
  • Top 1 slice of bread with strawberries and peanuts. Top with other slice of bread, buttered sides facing out.
  • Cook on panini press as directed by the manufacturer

Creamy peanut butter
Mascarpone
Sliced celery
Chili flakes
Honey
Sesame butter (such as Seedible Creamy or Crunchy Sunflower)
Orange marmalade
Sliced banana
Lightly toasted flaked coconut
Almond butter
Fig jam
Halved fresh raspberries
Chopped dark chocolate
Flaky sea salt

Steps:

  • Spread nut or seed butter on one slice of bread. Spread mascarpone, marmalade, or jam on another slice. Top with remaining ingredients; sandwich together to serve.

3 tablespoons peanut butter

Steps:

  • Spread 3 slices of bread with peanut butter.
  • Spread jelly on top of that (I know it's a bit messy but it tastes so much better than putting it on the other slice).
  • Top with other piece of bread.
  • Cut into either 2 or 4 triangles each.
  • Serve.

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 to 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder butt roast
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
6 ciabatta rolls, split
Coleslaw, optional

Steps:

  • Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper; transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a large bowl, whisk broth, peanut butter, preserves, brown sugar, onion, vinegar, mustard and garlic; pour over meat. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours or until meat is tender., Preheat broiler. Remove roast; cool slightly. Shred pork with 2 forks. Return pork to slow cooker; heat through. Brush butter over cut sides of rolls. Place rolls, buttered side up, on an ungreased baking sheet. Broil 3-4 in. from heat 30-60 seconds or until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, spoon pork mixture onto roll bottoms; top with coleslaw if desired. Replace tops.
