1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon dried mint leaves, if desired
8 cups Corn Chex™, Rice Chex™ or Wheat Chex™ cereal (or combination)
2 cups almonds
1 cup chopped dried fruits, currants or raisins
1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
3 tablespoons honey, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 250°F.
  • In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in seasonings. Stir in cereal and almonds until evenly coated.
  • Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Stir in dried fruits and ginger. Drizzle with honey. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.

1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground ginger or cardamom
6 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
2 cups bite-size pretzel twists
1 cup unblanched whole almonds
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries or dried pineapple

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 250°F. Spray large roasting pan with cooking spray.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, honey and ginger to boiling. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Into roasting pan, measure cereal, pretzels, almonds and coconut. Stir in brown sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  • Bake 50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil; cool about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in cranberries. Store in airtight container.

3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
2 cups Cheerios™ cereal
1 1/2 cups Bugles® original corn snacks
1/2 cup honey-roasted peanuts or 1 cup pretzels
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F. In very large bowl, mix cereals, snacks and peanuts.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, honey and butter to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan.
  • Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

3 cups miniature pretzels
2 cups pecan halves
2/3 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and pecans; set aside. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in honey until well blended. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat. Spread into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until mixture is lightly glazed, stirring occasionally. 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons grated gingerroot
1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, stir together 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup molasses, the brown sugar, butter and gingerroot. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is melted. Remove from heat; cool 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, allspice and salt. In small bowl, beat buttermilk and eggs. Add egg mixture to honey mixture; stir with whisk. Pour over flour mixture; stir until well combined. Pour batter into pan.
  • Bake 25 minutes. Poke cake every inch with skewer. In small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon molasses and the water; brush over hot cake. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

1 teaspoon instant nonfat dry milk or original-flavor nondairy creamer, if desired
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon dried orange peel
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300°F. In ungreased large roasting pan, mix cereals, almonds and banana chips.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in honey, dry milk, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, orange peel and vanilla until well mixed. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
