5 bratwurst sausages
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp water
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp mustard (i used beer & brat mustard)
2 large red potatoes
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 head green cabbage sliced thin
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In large skillet brown bratwursts. Remove to plate and place in oven at 200 degrees. Do not clean the pan.
  • 2. In medium bowl whisk vinegar, sugar, water, olive oil and mustard.
  • 3. Poke potatoes several times with prongs of a fork Wrap loosely in paper towels and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Cut potatoes in large bite size chunks. Add potatoes to Ziploc bag and add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Shake to coat. Heat same skillet over medium heat. Add potatoes and cook for 3-5 minutes; stirring several times. Turn heat to medium low. Add onions to skillet with potatoes and cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are starting to brown; stirring several times. Add cabbage to skillet; cook for 10 minutes. Stirring several times. Pour 1/4 of the mustard vinegar sauce in pan with potato/cabbage mixture cooking 1-2 minutes before repeating. Repeat process until all the sauce is gone.
  • 4. Add brats back to the pan and warm for 1-2 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.

1 small head cabbage (1-1/2 pounds)
1 large sweet onion
1 package (19-1/2 ounces) turkey bratwurst links, casing removed and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cut cabbage in half through the core. Remove core and cut cabbage into 1/4-in. slices; set aside. Cut onion in half and cut into 1/4-in. slices; set aside. In a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, cook and stir bratwurst over medium-high heat for 8 minutes or until browned on all sides. Drain and remove bratwurst; set aside and keep warm., Add cabbage and onion to the same skillet; cook and stir for 6 minutes. Sprinkle with soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper. Cook and stir for 4 minutes longer. Return bratwurst to skillet. Cook for 2 minutes. Cover; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender and bratwurst is cooked through. Serve immediately.

2 tbsp olive oil
Bratwurst, cut into 1/2 cm thick slices (I used a package with 8 mini-sausages)
1 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
600 g / 22.5 oz cabbage, cut into 1 cm thick slices
4-5 tsp mustard
150 ml (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp) cream
100 ml (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp + 1 tsp) meat stock
salt, pepper, to taste
fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan. Fry the sausage slices until they're cooked from both sides. Take them out of the frying pan. Add the onion and caraway seeds to the pan. Cook them until the onion becomes translucent. Add the cabbage to the pan and cook it with the onions for about 5 minutes. In a bowl, combine the mustard, cream, and the meat stock. Add it with the sausage slices to the pan and bring it to a boil. Cover the frying pan. Then reduce the heat and let everything simmer for 6 to 8 minutes. The cabbage should remain crisp. Season the cabbage to taste with salt and pepper. Add the parsley. Serve with mashed potatoes. Guten Appetit!!

5 uncooked bratwurst links
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon white wine or additional chicken broth

1/8 teaspoon celery seed

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels (save for another use). Drain, reserving 4 tablespoons drippings.
