1 lb ground beef
1 cup hot water
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt

Steps:

  • Mix Hot water, sugar, white pepper, black pepper, Lawreys and stir until sugar is disolved. Set aside.
  • Brown beef in the smallest pot that the meat will fit in (not a frying pan) and chop the meat constantly with a spatula.
  • Once meat is mostly browned, pour off the grease, return meat to pot, dump the sugar water into the meat and continue to chop the meat until the water is mostly evaporated.
  • Once almost all of the water is gone, turn heat to low and cover. Let simmer for 10mins.
  • Serve on steamed hamburger bun with mustard, pickle, chopped onion, and a slice of american cheese.

4 -5 lbs ground beef
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can beef consomme
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can French onion soup (or a 2nd can of consomme' and 1 chopped onion)
1 (1 3/8 ounce) package French onion soup mix
salt
pepper
bun

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef.
  • Add soups and dry soup mix.
  • Simmer 45-60 minutes.
  • Serve on buns.
  • Can be reheated in crock pot.
  • Extra can be frozen, with sauce, reheat to a simmer for 10-15 minutes.
