1 cup chocolate-flavored almond milk
¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats (such a Quaker®)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon packed shredded sweetened coconut
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 splash vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Mix almond milk, oats, chia seeds, coconut, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a 12-ounce mason jar. Cover and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight. Stir and serve cold.

I'm about to make your kids absurdly happy. First of all, this is basically a jar of nourishment for breakfast, in a dessert costume. I'd never realized that overnight oats are a ridiculously easy way to swindle your littles into eating something, dare I say--nutritious? And have their dang chocolate chips, too!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1/4 cup crunchy or creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup chocolate chips (use whatever kind you want)
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, toasted
2 cups whole or low-fat milk
1 banana, thinly sliced
Cinnamon, for dusting

Steps:

  • Pour 1/3 cup oats each into four half-pint mason jars. Top each with 1 tablespoon each peanut butter, chocolate chips and coconut. Pour about 1/2 cup milk into each jar, covering the oats. Close the lid on each jar and chill in the fridge overnight.
  • The next morning, remove the lids and give each jar a slight stir. Top with sliced banana and a dusting of cinnamon.

1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup (heaping) rolled oats
2/3 cup full-fat coconut milk (in the can)
1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flax meal
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
0-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup unsweetened flaked coconut

Steps:

  • Whisk together all ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Spoon into a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Close and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight before eating.
