A truly incredible dessert! It's just soooo good and really easy to make. Everyone always raves about it and asks me for the recipe when I make it. Wonderful served with whipped topping or ice cream. Great for vegans!

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup rolled oats
⅔ cup brown sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ cup chopped pecans
⅓ cup melted margarine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish. Pour pie filling into the dish, and spread evenly.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix in melted margarine. Spread over pie filling, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until topping is golden brown. Allow to cool 15 minutes before serving.

EASY CHERRY COBBLER



Easy Cherry Cobbler image

This is the easiest (only 3 ingredients) and yummiest cherry cobbler you will ever make! The cherries can be swapped out for any other fruit.

2 cans 21 oz cherry pie filling-undrained
1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (melted)
1 c. nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pour cherries in bottom of 9x13 inch pan.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix (usually around 3/4 of bag is enough) over cherries and do not stir.
  • Pour melted butter over cake mix; sprinkle nuts on top.(optional) Do not mix.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, or until set.

Use summer cherries to make this easy oat-topped crumble. Perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it makes a superb summertime dessert

1kg fresh cherries , pitted
50g golden caster sugar
1 lemon , juiced
½ tsp vanilla extract
150g plain flour
100g cold butter
½ tsp salt
70g soft brown sugar
100g rolled oats
40g flaked almonds
ice cream , to serve

Steps:

  • Tip the cherries into a medium-sized ovenproof dish (around 28cm) and mix with the sugar, lemon and vanilla. Set aside.
  • Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 4. Tip the flour and butter into a mixing bowl and rub together with your fingertips to create a fine, breadcrumb-like mixture. Stir through the salt, brown sugar, oats and most of the almonds. Tip over the cherry mixture, then top with the remaining almonds.
  • Bake the crumble in the centre of the oven for 30-35 mins or until the topping is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

1 (15.25 ounce) package white cake mix
¼ cup butter, melted
½ cup coarsely chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
