Number Of Ingredients 8

1/3 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
2 lemon slices, cut into 6 wedges
1 package (3 ounces) cherry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
3 cups cold water
6 cups cranberry juice, chilled
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
1 liter ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • Place several cranberries and a piece of lemon in each compartment of an ice cube tray; fill with water and freeze. , In a punch bowl or large container, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the cold water, cranberry juice and lemonade concentrate. Just before serving, stir in ginger ale. Serve over cranberry-lemon ice cubes.

Yield 16 servings (3 quarts).

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup boiling water
1 package (3 ounces) cherry gelatin
4 cups cranberry juice
3 cups cold water
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
3-1/2 cups chilled club soda
Lemon sherbet, optional

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, add boiling water to gelatin; stir 2 minutes to complete dissolve. Stir in cranberry juice, cold water and lemonade concentrate. Refrigerate, covered, until cold., To serve, transfer gelatin mixture to a punch bowl or large pitcher. Stir in soda. If desired, top with scoops of sherbet.

The cherry-flavored gelatin gives this recipe a new twist! The recipe comes from the 1967 Better Homes and Gardens 'so good with FRUIT' cookbook. Preparation time does not include freezing the ice cubes or molding an ice ring.

1 (2 3/4 ounce) package cherry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
3 cups cold water
1 (1 quart) bottle cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
1 (28 ounce) bottle ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, then stir in the lemonade concentrate.
  • Add the cold water & cranberry juice cocktail.
  • Place 8-10 cups of ice cubes OR a molded ice ring in a large punch bowl, & pour the punch over the ice.
  • SLOWLY pour the ginger ale down the inside of the punch bowl, & mix carefully by pushing the ice cubes/ring up & down several times.
  • If desired, add scoops of fruit-flavored sherbet.
