Cheesy Bacon Bombs Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by á-32164

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can (8ct.) Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits(Make sure it's flaky NOT buttermilk or it will not turn out good)
Cubed Mozzarella Cheese (1-1″ cube per Bomb)
2 lbs. of Bacon (1 slice per Bomb)
Small wooden skewers (or break in half)
Oil for frying (I used Canola)

Steps:

  • Cube up the Cheese, and cut each Biscuit into fourths. Flatten biscuits and place one piece of Cheese inside a Biscuit quarter, and roll it up in there, nice and tight... Wrap each rolled Bomb in a slice of Bacon, and secure it with a skewer or toothpick... In a med/large pot, heat up approx. 2″ of Oil (to 350 degrees) and fry them up in small batches. Maybe one or two at a time, the oil will expand so stay close... Fry for about 2 or 3 minutes till golden! Drain them on some Paper Towel, but serve them up good and warm

Yield 5

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tablespoons butter, divided
4 eggs, whisked
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (17.5 ounce) can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing (such as Pillsbury® Grands!®)
1 ¼ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
5 tablespoons cream cheese, softened

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Pour in eggs; cook, stirring often with a spatula, until soft and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove cinnamon rolls from the packaging. Stand each roll on its side and press down into a rectangle, trapping the cinnamon sugar layers. Roll each rectangle into a thin 6-inch circle.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese over each circle of dough. Layer 1/4 cup scrambled egg, 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese, and 1 tablespoon bacon pieces on top. Bring dough up and over the filling, pinching edges together to enclose filling completely.
  • Place rolls seam-side down in the prepared pie plate.
  • Heat remaining 1 tablespoon butter in a small microwave-safe bowl until melted, about 10 seconds. Brush over rolls. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, rotating halfway, until rolls are a deep golden brown, 20 to 22 minutes. Transfer pie plate to a wire rack; let rolls cool for 15 minutes before serving.

CHEESY BAKED BACON BOMBS

Yield 32 bombs

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can (8ct.) Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits
Cubed Mozzarella Cheese (1-1″ cube per Bomb)
Cubed Pepper Jack Cheese Optional for kick (we did half and half in this experiment)
2 lbs. of Bacon (1 slice per Bomb)
15 or so long skewers

Steps:

  • Cube up the Cheese, and cut each Biscuit into fourths. Place one piece of Cheese inside a Biscuit quarter, and roll it up in there, nice and tight Wrap each rolled Bomb in a slice of Bacon, and secure it with a skewer Place 3 bombs per skewer and put in a 9x13 baking dish leaving top of the skewer over hanging the end of the baking dish. Bake at 375 F for 45 min. Take the skewers and place them on a plate, lined with paper towels to soak up extra grease. Notes* Wrap the bacon tightly around to prevent excess leakage. There will be some leakage. I was irritated to find out a 1lb package of bacon does not always have 16 slices in it so if you have extra dough and cheese, because you ran out of bacon, just cook them in the pan but remove them after about 15 min or they will burn. Regular bacon works better than thick cut as well.

~ Cheesy Bacon Lovers Lasagna ~ The Bomb! image

This lasagna is one pan of awesomeness! Not lacking calories, mind you! LOL I had stocked up on several packages of bacon when on sale and wanted to use some of it up. I had no bake lasagna noodles that kept falling out of the cupboard at me, and the kids asked for lasagna. I had no ricotta which I usually always add, but had...
