Number Of Ingredients 16

For crust
1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1/2 cup chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For filling
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced (about 3 cups)
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Make crust:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Wrap outside of 9-inch-diameter springform pan with 2 3/4-inch-high sides with foil. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Using fingertips, mix until moist dough clumps form. Gather dough into ball. Press onto bottom and 3/4 inch up sides of pan. Freeze 10 minutes. Bake until crust is light golden, about 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
  • Make filling:
  • Beat all ingredients in large bowl until smooth. Pour filling into crust. Smooth top.
  • Make topping:
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in large bowl. Add apple slices and toss to coat. Arrange atop filling. Sprinkle with almonds.
  • Bake torte until crust is deep golden and apples are tender, about 1 hour 30 minutes. Remove from oven; cool 1 hour. Cover; refrigerate overnight. (Torte can be prepared 3 days ahead. Keep refrigerated.)
  • Run small knife around pan sides to loosen torte. Remove pan sides. Place torte on platter. Serve cold.

1/3 cup sugar
1 cup flour
Filling:
8 oz cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Topping:
1/3 cup sugar
4 cups apples, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup almonds, slivered

Steps:

  • Crust: Combine ingredients and spread into a 9-inch spring form pan. Filling: Blend ingredients together and pour onto crust. Topping: Combine sugar, apples and cinnamon in a bowl, stirring to coat apples. Spoon apple mixture over filling. Top with almonds. Serve chilled. Can be frozen (defrost 3-4 hours).

Steps:

  • Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine rolls into a ball. Roll into a 13-inch circle and place on a 12-inch sprayed pizza pan. Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla together. Spread on dough. Top with apple pie filling. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350°F 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup peanut oil
1 egg beaten
3 tablespoons brandy
6 cups sliced peeled cored apples
2 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup light cream
crumb topping (recipe below)

Steps:

  • Combine flour 1/4 sugar salt peanut oil 1 beaten egg and brandy. Blend until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture on bottom and half way up sides of a 9 inch spring form pan. Arrange apples in prepared crust. Set aside. Beat remaining eggs 3 tablespoons sugar and lemon juice together, set aside. Dissolve cornstarch in light cream, then gradually add to egg mixture. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake at 375 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack before removing pan sides. Crumb Topping: Combine 2/3 cup unsifted flour 1/8 teaspoonsalt 1/3 cup chopped walnuts 1/4 sugar and 1/4 cup planters peanut oil. Stir until mixture is crumbly

I was given some apples by a neighbor ,so I decided to make something different with them ---so I combined 2 recipes together kinda...... I wanted to make an non-crusted apple pie using Bisquick, but was out of that. This recipe below is what I made..and to my surprise it is delicious...and my family loved it. I will be...

2 c apples ,peeled and diced
3/4 c granulated suugar
2/3 c all purpose flour
1 large egg,beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp apple pie spices
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/2 c sour cream
1 Tbsp cinnamon sugar to sprinkle o top

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350^, Using non-stick baking spray coat a 9-inch glass dish and set aside.
  • 2. In a large bowl combine sugar ,flour, baking powder, nuts, and apple pie spice. Mix well by hand.
  • 3. In a medium bowl combine egg, vanilla, and sour cream ,mix well . Add apples and coat evenly. Pour apple mixture into the flour mixture, folding until all ingredients are blended well. Mixture will be thick.
  • 4. Pour all into prepared pie dish. Spread evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

2 1/2 cups sliced, peeled apples
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
4 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups Kellogg's® corn flakes (crushed to 1/2 cups) or 1/2 cup Kellogg's® corn flake crumbs
1/2 cup chopped, blanched almond

Steps:

  • 1. Cook apples in margarine, in covered fry pan until tender, stirring occasionally.2. In medium mixing bowl, combine the 1/2 cup sugar, sour cream, egg yolks, flour, lemon peel and lemon juice. Pour over apples. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Cool.3. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff, but not dry. Fold into prepared custard mixture.4. In small mixing bowl, combine the 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, KELLOGG'S CORN FLAKES cereal and almonds. Spread half of crumbs mixture in bottom of 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Pour in filling. Cover with remaining crumbs mixture.5. Bake at 325°F about 45 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm or cold, with whipped topping or ice cream, if desired.
