BATTER:
1stick1 stick (1/4 pound) butter
4cups4 cups strawberries
1cup1 cup sugar
1cup1 cup sugar
1cup1 cup self-rising flour
1cup1 cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in 9- by 13-inch baking pan. Mix together strawberries and sugar. Put in saucepan; bring to boil. Set aside. BATTER: Mix together sugar, flour and milk. Blend until moistened. Pour batter over melted butter. Put strawberry mixture over batter. Bake 30 minutes. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.

64 ounces canned sliced peaches with juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 10x14-inch baking dish.
  • Pour peaches and juice into a bowl; stir in lemon juice.
  • Mix sugar and butter together in a large bowl. Strain the juice from peaches into sugar-butter mixture and stir well. Stir flour, milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, respectively, into butter-peach juice mixture until batter is evenly combined; pour into the prepared baking dish. Spoon peaches evenly over batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cobbler is lightly browned and bubbling, about 1 hour.

1/2 cup fruit (blueberries, strawberries, peaches, etc.), chopped if necessary
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, if desired
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated lemon or orange peel, if desired
1 tablespoon nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, etc.), chopped, if desired
1 tablespoon old-fashioned oats, if desired
Coarse sugar, for sprinkling, if desired
1 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • In microwavable mug, mix fruit and 1 tablespoon of the sugar.
  • In small bowl, mix Bisquick™ mix, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, and any of the "if desired" ingredients. Add milk, and stir until a thick dough forms. Drop dough in clumps over fruit in mug.
  • Microwave uncovered on High 90 seconds to 2 minutes or until fruit bubbles to top of mug. Cobbler will be very hot; wait 5 minutes before serving. Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
