Steps:
- Arrange chicken breast halves in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Place cheese slices over chicken breast halves.
- In a medium-sized bowl or 4-cup measuring cup, combine soup and vermouth. Pour soup mixture over chicken and cheese. Sprinkle with croutons and dot with butter or margarine.
- Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour.
