A Basic Meat Sauce image

2 pounds ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
6 fresh ripe medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 12-ounce can tomato paste

Steps:

  • Brown beef in its own fat. Pour off most of drippings. Push meat aside; add onion and garlic and cook until onion is translucent. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Divide mixture into two equal portions.
  • Serve with spaghetti squash.
