"WORLD FAMOUS" MACARONI SALAD

This is my mother's recipe, modified by me. It is a hit at picnics and barbecues, and has been requested by friends whenever we have a get-together.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 box(es) elbow macaroni
1 cup(s) kraft cracked pepper and olive oil mayonnaise
1 large onion, diced
1 large cucumber, diced
4 stick(s) celery, diced
4 - hard boiled eggs, diced
2 - carrots, shredded
2 teaspoon(s) celery seed
2 teaspoon(s) garlic salt with parsley (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Boil 4 quarts of water. Once water is boiling, add macaroni and boil for 10 minutes. Once done, drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
  • Dice all vegetables and eggs and add to bowl.
  • Add celery seed and garlic salt. Adjust seasonings to your taste.
  • Add macaroni to vegetables and seasonings. Toss well.
  • Add mayonnaise to all ingredients in bowl. Toss well. Adjust mayonnaise to your desired creaminess.
  • Chill in refrigerator for four hours. Serve!
