Vanilla Cookie Trifle image

My husband doesn't like chocolate, so I created this dessert using vanilla pudding and cookies. It is so easy to put together and can be made ahead. Everyone loves it! -JoAnn Wegrzyn, Kingsley, Michigan

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups cold 2% milk
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 package (19.1 ounces) Golden Oreo cookies, finely crushed

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in prepared pudding. Fold in whipped topping. , Place 1-2/3 cups crushed cookies in a 3-qt. trifle or glass bowl. Top with half the pudding mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining crushed cookies. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
