I had just 2 cups of leftover turkey left from Thanksgiving, so this is what I came up with. Might I add, they were delicious... My photos

Number Of Ingredients 15

2 - 8 ounce(s) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 - 8 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened
2 cup(s) turkey, chopped
1/2 cup(s) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/4 cup(s) slivered almonds
5 - 6 - green onions, chopped or 1/2 cup minced onion
1/4 cup(s) celery, chopped and parcooked
1/4 teaspoon(s) dried dill
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
1 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
1/4 - poultry seasoning
GRAVY ( OPTIONAL )
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup(s) milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl; softened cream cheese.
  • Add all remaining ingredients and stir well to thoroughly combine evenly. ( par cook celery,if you don't like it crunchy. )
  • Flatten crescent rolls, keeping two triangles together to create rectangles. Press the perforation together to prevent the pocket from leaking.
  • Onto each rectangle, spoon approx. 1/4 cup of turkey mixture into the center of the croissant. Fold up the long ends till they overlap. Then, roll up and pinch closed the short ends.
  • Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degree F. for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden. While baking, if using the canned soup as a gravy, prepare it by mixing the milk with the soup, and heating thoroughly.
  • When finished baking, either serve as is or with the soup mixture.
