Transparent Pie image

My daughter-in-law introduced me to this wonderful pie. It is more common in the north and western areas of the country. I was a little skeptical, but love it. To me, it is better cold. So, enjoy.

Number Of Ingredients 9

9" deep dish pie shell
3 Tbsp all purpose flour
1 c sugar
1 c light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1/2 c heavy cream
1 pinch salt
1/2 c butter, melted
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Combine flour & sugars; beat in eggs, cream, salt, butter, & vanilla. Pour into pie shell & bake at 425 for 30-35 mins or until firm. It is great alone, with fresh whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate, or with fruit.
