Number Of Ingredients 8

4-5 lb venison roast
1 small onion sliced
1 small head of garlic diced
1 envelope hidden valley buttermilk dressing mix
1 envelope good seasons italian dressing mix
1 envelope mccormick brown gravy mix
pepper to taste
1 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Place roast into crock pot. Then sprinkle the garlic and onion slices over the top of the roast. Then sprinkle the Ranch dressing mix powder over the roast.
  • 2. Next sprinkle the Italian dressing mix over the roast next.
  • 3. Lastly sprinkle the brown gravy mix over, if you want a bit extra, you can add a second packet of brown gravy mix. Then pour the water in the bottom of the crock. Sprinkle with pepper.
  • 4. Cook this on low for 8-12 hours. I put mine on at 10pm and let it cook till 2 the next after noon. Before serving you can remove the liquid and put it in a pan and thicken it some more if you like with a cornstarch slurry.
