Great appetizer for the summer. Easy to make and very good. Makes a good amount and is easy enough to double up if you want. This can be used as a salsa or salad both.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 - 14 oz can black beans, drained
1 - 14 oz can black - eyed peas, drained
1 - 15.5 oz can hominy, drained
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1/2 c onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 hot pepper, chopped
1/2 c fresh parsley, chopped ( i use cilantro instead)
2 clove garlic, minced ( i use more garlic because i like garlic)
5 - 10 dash(es) tabasco sauce
1 - 8 oz pkg. good seasons italian dressing (make according to package directions).

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Chill at least 1 hour to blend favors. Serve as a salad or as a dip with tortilla chips.
  • 2. I always make this the day before so it can chill over night. Than stir and serve. The cilantro really gives it a good flavor and you can use 1/2C or more or less and the same with the garlic. I use more garlic because I really love garlic. So just tweak it to your own liking.
  • 3. Hope you all like! :)
