Symphony Brownies image

These brownies are not the most attractive ones I've ever made...I wasn't going to post this recipe for that reason, but what they lack in looks, they make up for in flavor...my daughter says they're quite addictive.I found the recipe in my local paper...enjoy! My photos

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 - 19.9 oz package of fudge brownie mix
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/4 c water
3 eggs
3 - 4.25 oz hershey symphony bars

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Line 9x13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, allowing at least 1 inch excess on each 9 inch side. Lightly grease bottom only.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, eggs, water and oil. Using a spatula; mix well, do not beat.
  • 3. Spread 1/2 the batter evenly into prepared pan. Arrange candy bars in single layer, with space between each bar, crosswise on top of batter. Do not let candy bars touch side of pan.
  • 4. Carefully spoon remaining brownie batter over candy bars to edges of pan. Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out with only a few moist crumbs on it.
  • 5. Remove pan from oven. Let cool on wire rack. Using edges of foil as handles, remove to cutting board. Cut into squares. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
