1/2 lb. butter
1 Cup quick or reg.oats
1 egg
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
grated peel of one lemon

Steps:

  • melt butter and pour over oats let stand 15 minutes beat egg, add sugar & vanilla combine w/oatmeal mixtue sift flour, baking soda, salt add to butter mixture drop by tsp on cookie sheet bake 20 min @350 watch carefully; do not overbake
